Competitors will receive a custom-designed case study focusing on a key strategic challenge faced by AndCo Hospitality. Your team will be tasked with developing a robust, implementable business solution that drives profitability across their diverse brands while simultaneously enhancing their B Impact Assessment score in alignment with the new B Corp standards. Specifically, teams must demonstrate how AndCo Hospitality can leverage its unique brand identity and commitment to sustainability to enhance its impact across some of the new Standards’ areas, such as Human Rights, Climate Action, and Environmental Sustainability & Circularity. The final case focus will be kept a secret till we release it!
Who Can Participate?
The B Corp Case Competition is open to all university and college students globally (undergraduate and graduate levels). We strongly encourage the formation of interdisciplinary teams that combine diverse skills—such as business strategy, sustainability, finance, and data analytics—to tackle the case from multiple perspectives.

Eligibility & Enrollment
Who is eligible to participate in the competition? This competition is strictly open to students currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program at the time of the competition.
Submission Guidelines
Are there specific limits for the video submission? Yes. Once the case is released, video submissions must not exceed 4 minutes in length. Any videos exceeding this limit will be disqualified to ensure a fair evaluation process for all teams.
What happens if I miss the submission deadline? To maintain the integrity of the competition timeline, we will not accept late submissions under any circumstances. We recommend uploading your materials well in advance of the deadline to avoid technical issues.
What language is the competition conducted in? This year’s competition will be conducted entirely in English. While we look forward to offering tracks in additional languages in the future, we have chosen English as our shared lingua franca for this inaugural event.
Prizes & Taxes
What are the prizes for the winning teams? The total prize pool will be awarded as follows:
1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $200
3rd Place: $100
How and when will the prize money be distributed? All cash prizes will be disbursed within 30 days of the final announcement. Payments are contingent upon all winning team members submitting the required documentation. Please note that B Academics is not responsible for disputes regarding the division of prize funds among team members.
Is the prize money taxable? Yes. All prizes are considered taxable income. While B Academics is not required to issue a Form 1099-MISC for prizes under $2,000, winners are solely responsible for reporting and paying any federal, state, or local taxes associated with their winnings.
What about international teams? Due to the tax complexity associated with awarding cash prizes to non-U.S. residents, we have decided to recognize the top three teams regardless of their location. However, cash prizes will only be disbursed to teams whose members are U.S. residents for tax purposes.
Media & Usage
Will my presentation be recorded or shared? By registering, participants agree that B Academics may record live sessions and publicly share presentation materials (such as slide decks and recordings). This applies only to finalist teams. These materials are used for educational, promotional, and archival purposes across B Academics’ platforms.
Who owns the intellectual property of the submissions? Participants retain full ownership of their original content. However, by entering, you grant B Academics a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to share the materials and recordings of finalist presentations as described above.
