Welcome to the Teaching forum — we’re so glad you’re here!

This space is dedicated to conversations around curriculum, pedagogy, classroom innovation, and all things related to teaching business, impact, and sustainability. Whether you’re a seasoned educator or just starting to explore how to bring B Corp concepts into the classroom, you’re in the right place.

    To get started, introduce yourself!
    – Your name and institution
    – The courses you currently teach (or plan to)
    – What resources or support from B Academics would help you succeed?

We’re excited to build a strong, collaborative teaching community here.

    Forum Ground Rules
To keep this a productive and respectful space, please follow these simple guidelines:

    1. Be respectful and inclusive
Treat all members with kindness, even when you disagree. We’re a global, diverse community of educators.

    2. Stay on topic
Use this forum for teaching-related discussion only. For research or engagement topics, visit those dedicated forums.

    3. Use clear titles for your posts
This helps others find your topic and join in. Example: “Looking for a BITs capstone project example”

    4. No spam or self-promotion
Sharing tools or links is great — especially when they help others — but promotional posts should go through B Academics channels.

    5. Protect confidentiality
Don’t share student names, grades, or any sensitive institutional data.

    6. Collaborate, don’t compete
This is a space to build collective knowledge — feel free to ask questions, share resources, or even co-create teaching materials.

If you have any questions of concerns please reach out to our Operations Director, Rachel Haynes at rachel.haynes@bacademics.org

Hello everyone! Excited to get the conversation started in our new B Academics Teaching forum. Thanks so much Rachel for creating this space. I’m Jessica Yinka Thomas, executive director of B Academics and associate professor of the practice in the Poole College of Management at NC State University. I’ve been teaching a version of a B Impact Team (BIT) called the B Corp Clinic for 10 years. I’ve also been teaching another model of the BIT as a study abroad to Brazil for 4 years. I’m particularly interested to learn from others teaching BITs as we transition to the new standards.
